The MOAI MIAO were born as part of the Pictoplasma AR Character Hunt, an exhibition to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pictoplasma.

I have always been fascinated by the gigantic stone statues on Rapa Nui, the Moai Maea. In the language of the indigenous people, the word ‘Moai’ means ‘to honour’. So it was only natural to pay my respects to Pictoplasma with the help of colossal cats—also so as not to upset the secret rulers of the world (or at least of my house). 😼😸
